Remote control with soul.

NodalDesk is born for a very concrete idea: that controlling a Linux or Windows computer, or an Android, from any device should be direct, clear and dignified. Without asking the user to think like a network, without hiding the product's limits and without turning their machines into a black box.

The nodal mesh is NodalDesk's visual and technical identity, but the experience must feel human: your machines with clear names, their status visible and two actions anyone understands — control or share.

The real internet

Remote can't stay at "only on my Wi-Fi". NodalDesk combines LAN and relay to reach your machines beyond home too. The route is a technical decision; for the user it should just be a machine they can get into.

The highest possible quality

Quality isn't decoration. Readable text, stable motion, audio and precise control are the difference between trying a demo and actually working. The product uses hardware-accelerated H.264 when the host allows it, and a software fallback when not.

Simple for everyone

Fewer panels, less jargon, fewer parallel paths. A machine has a name, a status and clear actions. Advanced things exist, but they live out of the way of someone who just wants to get into their computer and do something.

You own your data

The account organizes devices and permissions, but the remote session must not turn into handing over your machine. The technical model keeps local credentials, per-device permissions and relay as transport: it forwards data when needed, it doesn't work over your head.

Permission before power

Controlling a screen, hearing audio and injecting keyboard or mouse is powerful. That's why NodalDesk treats trust, policies and traceability as product pieces, not as details buried in a technical menu.

Honest about reach

Today you can control Linux, Windows and Android hosts. macOS, for now, is only a desktop client to connect to those machines, not a native host yet. Saying this clearly is part of the product too.

AI vision

A sensorimotor body, with limits.

NodalDesk also points at a longer idea: being a body for an AI. Eyes through the screen in continuous streaming, ears through the host's audio, and hands through keyboard, mouse and navigation. Not as an occasional one-off capture, but as presence.

This part is vision, not an announced production feature. The important point is the principle: if one day an agent operates a real machine using NodalDesk, it will have to do so with explicit permission, a traceable trust level and visible limits. Without that, it isn't a serious product.
